Stage 1 of GP training selection is a single invigilated online sitting: the SJT first, an optional break, then the CPST. Our mocks run the same way, with a timer that keeps running if you step away.

Hoping to claim under the HSE Training Support Scheme (TSS)? The current policy doesn’t list SJT or CPST preparation, so check with your Medical Manpower Department before relying on a refund. How TSS and CCERS work.
FAQ
Questions candidates ask
Is GPTestPro affiliated with the ICGP?
No. GPTestPro is independent. Our mocks follow the format the ICGP publishes for the SJT and CPST, but the questions are our own and are not official ICGP questions.
How is the SJT scored?
The ICGP does not publish its exact SJT scoring. We use near-miss partial credit, which is widely used for SJTs: you earn marks for rankings close to the ideal order, and for each appropriate choice in “choose three” questions. Treat SJT percentages as an estimate of your standard.
Can I claim the cost back?
Don’t count on it. CCERS only refunds exams on its approved list, after you pass. The TSS covers question banks and mock exams for TSS- and CCERS-eligible exams, but the current policy doesn’t list SJT or CPST preparation, and it excludes interview prep courses and training scheme application fees. Your Medical Manpower Department decides on each claim, so ask them first. Read our funding guide.

Every question is reviewed and approved by our clinical lead, Dr Muhammad Yahya Khan, before it is published, and each explanation cites its source. You can report any question you think is wrong or out of date.
